Will there be a Pledge Manager?

We will try to keep it open for a couple of months at least, and we will honour the Kickstarter discounts for one month after the Kickstarter finishes.

Will there be a foreign language version of the game?

No, this Kickstarter is for the English language version only. We have no current plans for foreign language versions. If we do future translated versions they will not happen within the remit of this Kickstarter.

What if I haven't received Gloom of Kilforth yet?

We appreciate that some folks haven't played Gloom of Kilforth yet, this is why we've held off from launching this campaign until March. Gloom of Kilforth + all its expansions are shipping now. They are due to arrive in the first week of March at our hubs, which means they should start landing in your laps during the Kickstarter campaign for Shadows. So if in doubt, you can just pop a £1 pledge in to follow along with the updates and you'll get access to the pledge manger after the campaign.

Why are you launching this now instead of after I receive my copy of Gloom of Kilforth?

We also need to take care of the 1,000+ people who have already backed Shadows and are waiting patiently for that too, so hopefully this way we will please as many peeps as possible. :)

Each backer is able to add up to one single extra copy of Shadows of Kilforth (without expansions) to their order for the same reduced Kickstarter price of £50, just add this total to your pledge either during the campaign or in the pledge manager.

Card sleeves: what are the size of the cards, and how many of each size are there?

We use Swan Sleeves - 44mm x 68mm for the mini cards, and 64mm x 89mm for the regular sized cards. Pic here:

It's entirely up to you - Pimp My Gloom pimps out the components for Gloom of Kilforth, and Pimp My Shadows pimps out the components for, you guessed it, Pimp My Shadows. Neither are required for play, but they do add a load of cool stuffs. :)

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

Why can’t I log into my account?

Request a login link to your survey by entering your email here:

BackerKit will send you an automated email with an invite link to whatever email you pledged with.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

Can I upgrade or get multiple copies of my pledge?

This depends on the project creator’s decision. If you are unable to see the ‘Want to switch your pledge level?’ after clicking on your pledge amount under “Pledge Level” in your survey, then the project creator would prefer people not to switch pledge levels.

You may not have an account! You can create an account by clicking the account confirmation link in any survey you have. You can also get started with signing up for a BackerKit account at https://shadows-of-kilforth.backerkit.com/backer_accounts/sign_up.

If you have created an account and have gone through the previous steps, but are still having trouble, please email us at support@backerkit.com. Let us know any important details (browser type, mobile device or computer, OS, etc).

Do I need a BackerKit account to fill out/receive my survey?

You do not need a BackerKit account to access your surveys through BackerKit BackerKit accounts help to manage and keep track of surveys and are especially helpful for folks who have backed multiple projects.

Do I have an account?

You may or may not have an account set up, but you can access the Account Request Confirmation from the bottom of the confirmation page of any of your surveys.

How do I update my email address in my backer account?

Contact BackerKit support! We will ask you to verify that you are the account holder, and to provide the email address to which you’d like to update. You can verify by either of the following methods:

* Write in to support@backerkit.com from the old email address you want to change. Let us also know the new email address to which you want to update.

* Send us a screenshot of your original pledge that shows your backer number on Kickstarter (or Indiegogo, etc)

How do I delete my backer account?

Email BackerKit support directly at support@backerkit.com. If you delete your account, you will still be able to access your surveys in the future – no account needed.

A backer account helps backers (like you!) to keep their surveys organized. Oftentimes, people who support projects that use crowdfunding support multiple projects across crowdfunding platforms. Any project that uses BackerKit will appear in your BackerKit account, and will allow you to help keep track of updates such as address, items, timelines, support, etc.
